Letter to Dana

You morning star, now so afar...

Hence the fires of woe
Forbide me to speak,
A glance of my letter
Is all I can seek

Your fire was so strong
Through the flames I walked
The dawn of our light
I eagerly stalked

But the sea of the tears
Slowly drowned my ideas
And I walked away,
Killing Paradise to stay

Oh, sailor of the moon,
I sailed into never
The harbor you found sunk me soon,
The loom of life caused me to sever

Never before did I find chests of lore
Till the day I looked upon you
Kill me with fire, but I still admire
The dreams that you see or you do

The writing I do is my promise to you
To explain why infinity seemed so small
Your morning star always got me afar
And my chances to talk faultered by a call

Oh, sailor of the moon,
I sailed into never
The harbor you found sunk me soon,
The loom of life caused me to sever

Oh, sailor of the moon,
With love you bestowed
My soul of charcoal
Woman, clothed in the Moon,
Hurt me you did not,
Now I lost my soul

With this letter of real any wounds I wish to heal
And to tell you the very truth that haunts
Realise I'm away, though I wanted to stay
And eat the fruit of  knowledge in Paradise
But decisions are made, all the tracks are now laid
Don't believe it's some urge of my mind
My thoughts are with you, all the things that you do
Need us two in your heart to find
