The Gypsy

You took my hand and broke the spell that should 've let me go

And the gypsy then said
About the life I led,
About traversing the plains,
Of how we crossed our lanes.

Into his gaze I stared,
His words of pyre made me scared,
My life tandalising, out of the gutter,
And I did nothing of matter.

That sultan of the time swung in my mind
And reality struck me from behind
The need to live came as a stormbringer,
I stood alone, and helpless I now linger.

I came to you, a lifetime has passed
You told me to fight my demons, and so I rushed
A mind of evil drowned into a sea of wine
And I picked up what still was mine.

My old friend, we will meet again,
When my need for you is once again profane.
May that time be the longest of dreams
And my I weave my life's seams.
