A favorite song...
There are million things we can nag about: Our wallet being stolen, our nail being broken, our T-shirt being ripped off. Each thing has a certain effect on us: We will get angry, sad, or perhaps not even give a damn about it.
What happens when you will never forgive yourself for the loss of a friend, though...?
There are million things we can nag about: Our wallet being stolen, our nail being broken, our T-shirt being ripped off. Each thing has a certain effect on us: We will get angry, sad, or perhaps not even give a damn about it.
There are thousands of reasons we can get sad about: A dead pet, a breakup, a person's depression can sadden us, catch us on surprise, and perhaps bring us to tears.
What are those occasions, however, that make us depressed? In which cases do we feel we 're falling off the edge of the world? Is it an injury, either physical, mental or psychological, on us? Is it a disease that, either we, or a person close to us, posesses?
Or is it the death of a person we dearly loved a sufficient reason for us to break down and cry?
Someone may say that we couldn't save him. That, perhaps, it was written in the stars that he might die, and in such a terrible way. That we may have been pawns in "le grand jeux de la vie". They are wrong. We could control his destiny, we could change his fate... and yet we didn't. We chose to die at that instant. We no longer exist. We are heartless, emerging from the Abyss of the unknown.
Each happening has an effect: Makes every moment count. It alson shows us we have feelings, and therefore, a soul. But to know when to get sad or not requires our judgement about which cases are worth our emotions, our feelings, our strength. He was such a case...
Sometimes, at night,
When the moon is blue
And stars collide,
I look outside.
I see a smile on the earth
And a fire in the sky.
They tell me that,
Even with broken wings,
I can fly.
